About these terms

These terms apply when you use waftr.com, request a free Tracking Scan, or engage Waftr for a Tracking Audit, Tracking Build, Tracking Care or an analytics sprint. "Waftr", "we" and "us" mean Waftr. "You" and "the client" mean the business that uses the site or engages us.

For paid work, the agreement is the proposal you accept together with these terms. Where a proposal and these terms differ, the proposal governs that engagement.

Waftr works with businesses. By accepting a proposal, you confirm that you act for a business and have authority to commit it to these terms.

Using waftr.com

Pages on waftr.com explain how GA4, Google Tag Manager, Consent Mode v2 and related platforms work. They are general information for your own judgement and are not legal advice. Do not try to disrupt the site, get around its security or use it to break the law.

02

Services

Waftr sells three paid offers, plus a free Tracking Scan and one-off analytics sprints. Each line summarizes the published offer; the proposal for each engagement sets the binding scope.

What the services exclude

Waftr builds, fixes and maintains tracking and analytics. We do not carry out SEO or AEO work, manage ad campaigns or run A/B tests. Consent and privacy work implements the technical setup for the rules your business decides to follow; choices about legal bases, privacy notices and policies stay with you and your legal advisers, and nothing we deliver is legal advice.

The free Tracking Scan

The Tracking Scan reads public pages only, the way a browser does, and does not log in or test anything behind a login. Its report covers those 8 checks in the no-choice consent state and does not replace a Tracking Audit. Submit only URLs you have a business reason to check.

03

Quotes and scope

Every paid engagement gets a fixed quote, agreed in writing before work starts. A Tracking Audit is quoted after a short call or the free Tracking Scan, and each Build is scoped from the Audit findings.

The quote reflects the effort the setup needs: the number of sites, GA4 properties and GTM containers, the consent regions in scope, and whether the work includes server-side tagging, BigQuery, or CRM and offline conversion import. Enterprise Builds are quoted once the Audit shows how many properties and brands the setup spans.

A quote becomes an agreement when you accept the proposal in writing; an email reply counts. Each proposal states the scope, deliverables, timeline and fee, and how long the quote stays open.

Scope changes. If you ask for work outside the agreed scope, or the work uncovers something the proposal did not cover, we describe the change and its cost in writing. Extra work begins only after you approve it in writing.

Timelines. Delivery times, such as 7 business days for an Audit or 3 to 4 weeks for a Core Build, run from the day we have the access and information the work needs. They move when access, approvals or developer changes arrive late.

Stopping early. If you stop an Audit or Build before it is finished, you pay for the work done up to that point, as the proposal sets out. Either side can end an engagement if the other seriously breaches these terms and does not put it right within a reasonable time after written notice.

04

Payment

Payment terms. Each proposal sets the currency, invoice schedule, due dates and accepted payment methods for that engagement.

No hourly billing. Waftr does not bill by the hour. Ad-hoc hours are available only within Tracking Care.

Taxes. Taxes that apply to an invoice, such as GST on invoices in India, are stated in the proposal and shown on the invoice.

Tool and hosting costs. A consent platform licence, Stape, Google Cloud and similar costs are billed to you directly by those vendors and are separate from Waftr's fees.

Late payment. If an invoice is unpaid after its due date, we may pause work until it is paid, and delivery dates move by the length of the pause.

05

Currency

Proposals for businesses based in India may be issued in Indian rupees (INR). Proposals for businesses based anywhere else are issued in US dollars (USD). The proposal confirms the currency, and scope, deliverables and timelines stay the same in either one.

06

Audit fee credit

Tracking AuditFee paid, findings and costed fix plan delivered
Within 30 daysA Tracking Build starts
Fee creditedThe full Audit fee comes off the Build

The Tracking Audit fee is credited in full against a Tracking Build started within 30 days of the Audit.

  • The 30 days run from the walkthrough call where we deliver the Audit findings.
  • A Build counts as started when you accept its proposal inside that window.
  • The credit applies to a Core, Advanced or Enterprise Build that covers the site or properties the Audit reviewed.
  • It is used once, comes off the Build fee, and cannot be paid out in cash or moved to another business.

The Audit findings and fix plan are yours to keep whether or not a Build follows.

07

Access and accounts

A Tracking Audit uses read-only access to GA4, Tag Manager, consent and Google Ads. Tracking Builds are delivered in the client's own GTM, GA4, CMP and Google Cloud accounts.

You grant access through each platform's user management. We ask for the lowest role the work needs: read-only for an Audit; edit and publish rights in Google Tag Manager and GA4 for a Build, plus Google Ads and Google Cloud where the scope includes them.

Everything we build stays in your accounts and belongs to you. If an engagement ends, the tracking keeps running, and nothing has to be moved away from Waftr.

When an engagement ends, remove our user access from each platform, or ask us and we remove it ourselves where the platform allows. Personal data inside your accounts is handled on your instructions, as our Privacy Policy describes, and we sign a data processing agreement with you where the law requires one.

08

Client responsibilities

Delivery depends on a few things only the client can provide.

  • Access on time. Grant the platform access in section 07 when the engagement starts, and keep it in place until handover.
  • Developer time. We write the data layer spec, your developers push it to the site, and we verify it in GTM Preview. Builds that depend on data layer changes need that developer time from your side.
  • Accurate information. Tell us which sites, platforms, markets and consent rules are in scope, and about releases that could affect tracking.
  • Legal decisions. Decide which privacy laws apply to your business, what your privacy notice says and which consent model you use. We implement the tracking and consent setup to match.
09

Tracking Care

Tracking Care is a monthly service with a 3-month minimum, after which it runs month to month.

PlanIncludes
EssentialsMonitoring, break alerts, CMP and tag updates, monthly data health report
PlusEssentials, plus release QA and one analytics module
ProServer-side tagging, BigQuery and all analytics modules

Billing. Care is billed monthly at the fee quoted for the chosen plan. Ad-hoc hours are available to Care clients on the terms in their proposal.

Ending Care. After the first 3 months, either side can end Care by written notice, and an email to hello@waftr.com counts. Care ends at the close of the billing month in which the notice arrives.

10

Agency partners

Agency partners resell Waftr's Audits, Builds and Care to their own clients, with white-label delivery. Partner rates are set in the partner terms, and the agency partners page explains the program.

  • Partner status. It applies once we confirm it in writing after reviewing the agency's application. The partner terms we send with that confirmation sit alongside these terms.
  • Who the client is. In a white-label engagement the agency is our client. The agency accepts the proposal, pays the invoices and obtains its own client's approval for the access we use.
  • Branding. Findings sheets, walkthrough decks and monthly health reports carry the agency's brand. Tracking Care can be white-labelled too.
  • Client ownership. The work is built in the end client's accounts and stays with the end client if the agency relationship ends. While a partnership runs, we do not pitch our services directly to a client the agency brought to us.
11

Confidentiality

Each side keeps the other's confidential information private and uses it only for the engagement. That covers account data, tracking setups, Audit findings, quotes and business plans shared during the work.

The duty does not cover information that is public through no fault of the receiving side, was already known to it, is developed independently, or must be disclosed by law. In that last case, the receiving side tells the other first where the law allows. Confidentiality continues after the engagement ends.

We name a client in case studies or marketing only with its written approval. Anonymized case studies leave out anything that identifies the client.

12

Ownership of the work

You own the configuration we build in your accounts, including tags, triggers, variables, GA4 settings, consent settings and BigQuery exports, and the findings sheets, decks and reports we deliver to you. You may use them freely inside your business.

Waftr keeps ownership of its own methods, checklists, templates and know-how, including the Tracking Audit's 60+ checks. We may reuse general knowledge gained from the work, without your confidential information.

13

Third-party platforms

Our work runs on platforms Waftr does not control: Google (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, BigQuery and Google Cloud), consent platforms such as Cookiebot, OneTrust, CookieYes and Usercentrics, server-side hosts such as Stape, and Cloudflare.

Their owners change features, limits, prices and policies, and their services sometimes go down. Waftr is not liable for those changes or outages, or for data a platform drops, delays or models. When a platform change breaks part of a setup, the repair is covered under Tracking Care or quoted as new work. Your use of each platform is governed by your own agreement with its provider.

14

No promised results

Waftr fixes and maintains measurement. We make no promise about the business outcomes that measurement reports on.

Rankings in Google Search
Citations or mentions in AI answers
Traffic growth
Conversion rate, cost per lead or revenue

Case study results describe what happened for those clients in the stated time windows and are no forecast for yours. Modeled data under Consent Mode v2, such as GA4 behavioral modeling and Google Ads conversion modeling, depends on Google's own eligibility thresholds.

We carry out the work with reasonable skill and care, in line with the documentation the platforms publish at the time. To the extent the law allows, we give no other warranties.

15

Liability

Cap. Waftr's total liability arising from an engagement, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, is limited to the fees you paid Waftr for that engagement.

Excluded losses. Neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. This does not reduce the client's duty to pay fees that are due.

Free services. The Tracking Scan and the content on waftr.com are provided as they are, free of charge, and to the extent the law allows Waftr has no liability for decisions made on them.

What is not limited. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

16

Governing law

These terms and every engagement under them are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before going to court, both sides will try to settle a dispute by discussing it in good faith.

17

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when our offers, quoting or the law change, and the date at the top of the page shows the current version. Changes apply to proposals accepted after that date. An engagement already under way keeps the terms in force when its proposal was accepted, unless both sides agree in writing to switch.

Notices under these terms go by email: to hello@waftr.com for Waftr, and to the address in your proposal for you. Shuruthi Sellamuthu, founder, answers questions about these terms at the same address.
