  3. When you delete the photo, It goes to Bin/trash/recently deleted folder, Photos or videos stays there for some time and will get permanently deleted.

1. Using Default Gallery App

Your default gallery Photos App will have a recently deleted folder just like you have a recycle bin on your Windows PC, Eventually, when you delete a photo or video, those files will be saved there, and, they will have some life span until they get permanently deleted from your phone. Follow the steps below to restore the image from the Recently deleted folder from your gallery.

  1. Open Gallery, scroll down to find Recently deleted folder or click on the Menu and check for or Bin.
  2. Click on the images you want to recover
  3. Click Restore or the recycle button.

Now you will see the images back to the original location.

Note: Deleted Images goes to recently deleted but it only stays there for some days, you have to restore it before it gets permanently deleted.

2. Using Google Photos App

  2. You can find the menu in the top left corner of the app
  3. You can see a bin/trash option where you can see the deleted picture/video
  4. Press and hold the picture/video that you need it back

  6. Click that and the deleted picture/video will be restored in your gallery now.

    2. High Quality – You can upload unlimited high-quality Images (16 MP) and Videos.
    3. Express – If you really don’t care about the image quality, you can go with Express where you will upload images with 3MP size and unlimited.
  5. Now, Choose whether or not the mobile data to upload the files to Google cloud, I use wifi to upload images.
  6. Pick the folders you want to backup, I don’t want WhatsApp images to get backed up and messup my photos, so, I choose particular folders to upload.
