If you are an android user, you have been using this for a very long time, and its not something mind breaking or anything. The redesigned home screen with custom widgets lets the user customize their home screen based on their own personal usage. Apple TV app has its own version of widgets as well. It has been there since day one when Apple announced back in June at WWDC 2020. If you are an iPhone user, you know about the Apple TV subscription, then you will have access to Apple Original shows and movies. These widgets can be very helpful with info about the shows you are watching and resume watching them directly from the widgets.

It's super easy to add this widget. Press and hold on any app to enter jiggle mode where you can add widgets by tapping on the - icon on the top left corner of the screen. In the screen that appears, choose the widget you want to add and tap on Add Widget.

This widget has three different sizes that you could choose from. The sizes are 2x2, 4x2, and 4x4. All these sizes pretty much show the same thing but in different sizes with a cover image of whatever show you were watching.
